I create lifestyle family portraits that capture what’s special about your family from the way their nose crinkles when they laugh at you to the way they play with your hair when they're feeling a little shy. I deliver a mix of candid and more directed portraits in every client gallery because I know it's all important to preserving these precious days that can sometimes feel long but that go by much too fast.

How many pictures will we receive?
Depending on the length of your photoshoot and the desired outcome discussed between you and I, you will only receive edited JPG photos available to download at your leisure. Mini shoots generally receive about 10-15 photos while full shoots (most popular) are not limited to the number of delivered images. Most full shoots will receive 30+ edited digital photos.
How should we dress for our family session?
1. Wear clothes that make you feel fabulous! 2. Wear clothes that allow you to move freely. 3. Where a mix of coordinated colors and patterns and avoid wearing all black or very dark clothing. 4. Coordinate your outfits, but don’t make them too matchy-matchy.
Using a few colors with similar undertones, mixing patterns with similar tones, and layering in textures like linen or knits all help to ensure your family looks coordinated without the images feeling cheesy or flat. Ladies always feel fabulous in a long flowing dress that moves freely, while men generally lean toward a shirt that makes them feel like a million bucks! Don't wear something you feel uncomfortable in, it will show in your images. Make sure your shoes are on point! We cannot just crop them out!
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The best AGE for your baby to be for their newborn session is the real shocker for most people. Between 5-12 days. This is a VERY small window. The reason this is the best age is your baby is still very curly allowing us to get those gorgeous newborn poses.
They are also still very sleepy which makes the session run smoother. You can still get cute photos once they are over this age, however you generally get less images as baby will be much more awake and alert. You will also miss several gorgeous curly poses.
How long is a mini-session?
A mini-session take about 30minutes total from set up to send off. We'll shoot for about 15min in one location with one outfit. This is a great way to get some awesome photos in a short amount of time. If your shooting with a large family however, I do recommend scheduling for a full session. That way everyone can relax and won 't feel rushed. Mini's are best for couples, celebration of a pet's life, product shoots, or branding.
Do you photograph events?
I sure do! Your busy, busy planning the event, busy entertaining your guests, busy finalizing all the details and executing them. Let me capture all the fun your guests are having and take the stress off you, the party planner! No matter the type of event, I'll capture candid and posed memories you'll be able to share and cherish forever! A travel fee is accessed for travel out of a 50 miles total.
What about weddings?
I'm not a BIG wedding photographer. Elopement and small venue weddings are more up my alley. If you are planning an intimate small or destination wedding, I am your girl.
